Graduation Gala Party Programme

To continue this special day of celebration, the Y13 parents of the 2025 Graduation Committee have organized a Graduation Gala Party at the 5* Hotel Royal Savoy located in the heart of Lausanne in the Ouchy neighbourhood, a short drive or 25 minute metro ride (Délices M2) from the SwissTech convention center.

Tickets need to be purchased in advance and only guests named on the guest list will be admitted.

18:45 - 19:45 To help ensure a smooth check-in process and allow some flexibility in arrival times for our 400+ guests, registration will be open over 60 minutes. Only names on the official guest list will be admitted and each guest will receive a colour-coded wristband. Guests who have parked at the hotel will also receive a special reduced price parking ticket*.

From 19:00 Welcome drink and snacks in the gardens of the 5* Royal Savoy (weather permitting). Guests under 16 will not be served alcohol.

From 19:45 Hot and cold buffet in the Royal Savoy ballroom served with wine, beer or soft drinks. Guests under 16 will not be served alcohol.

22:00 (approx) Dancing with DJ Kudos with drinks available for purchase

00:00 All good things must come to an end, but we hope you’ll leave with amazing memories!

Metro & Parking

If you come by public transport from SwissTech, take the M1 metro to Flon, then switch to the M2 (direction Ouchy) and get off at Délices, just opposite the hotel entrance. You’ll be there in about 25 minutes.

If you drive (a 20-minute drive from SwissTech) there is a 24/7 public car park at the hotel with limited places. *Please note we cannot guarantee availability at the public car park at the hotel, so you may need to consider parking elsewhere.**

The hotel is offering a special special reduced price parking ticket of CHF 14.00 for the evening, which we will give to guests when they register.

**You’ll find street parking around the hotel, as well as two larger 24/7 public parkings a short 10 minute walk down by the lake: the outdoor Port d'Ouchy with about 820 spaces (around 2 CHF/hour) and the indoor P&R Ouchy with 289 spaces (also about 2 CHF/hour).

Party Atmosphere

This night is all about celebrating, mingling, and making memories— it’s a party, not a sit-down formal dinner! We will have numerous high bistro tables throughout the ballroom - perfect for chatting over drinks and enjoying the food and festivities with graduates, teachers, families and friends!

There will also be a limited number of larger round tables and chairs. As these are shared spaces meant for everyone to enjoy a quick break, they cannot be reserved on the night or in advance—but priority will, of course, be given to our older guests and anyone with reduced mobility. Once you've had a chance to relax, we kindly ask that you be mindful of others and allow them the opportunity to have a seat too.

If the weather’s nice (fingers crossed!🤞), we’ll also have access until 22:00 to a cosy private garden area with seating just outside the ballroom - a lovely spot to enjoy the evening air.

Food & Drinks

The Royal Savoy’s exceptional 5-star service promises to make the evening truly special. Guests will be welcomed with a drink and light snacks, followed by a delicious hot and cold buffet accompanied by wine, beer, or soft drinks — and of course, a tempting selection of desserts to finish.

DJ & Dancing

Back by popular demand, DJ Kudos returns to continue the fun tone for the evening with a great mix of music and energy. He’ll be keeping the dance floor going right up until midnight. To help shape the soundtrack for the night, we invited students to share some of their favourite songs in advance — so you can look forward to a playlist full of student-approved hits and special touches!

Photo Booth & Photographer

Not only will there be a fun photo booth — complete with playful accessories so you can snap some truly memorable shots — but our very own ISL photographer/teacher, Kate MacLeod, will also be capturing special moments with friends and family throughout the evening. These candid photos will be shared online after the event.

Hotel Accommodation

If you'd like to extend your stay overnight, ISL graduation guests can book a room at Royal Savoy at a preferred rate using this link. Rooms can be cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled arrival date, and before 18:00, in order to avoid penalty fees.
